PVP Happenings

What's Happening at PVP?

Join us on Friday, October 20th for our first SPIRIT DAY!

Wear your crazy, weirdest, silliest socks!

Hello PVP Parents and Students:

Welcome to the month of SOCKTOBER!  Yes, I said...

During the month of October, Ms. Anderson’s Kindergarten class at PVP is accepting donations of NEW pairs of socks for our local homeless community as well as for families and students in need. Many of you may not know that socks are one of the least donated items in shelters, yet one of the most NEEDED items.

We will be accepting pairs and packages of NEW socks in all sizes, types and colors.  Donation boxes have been placed throughout the school, with a larger box located in the front office. Donations will be accepted throughout the entire month of October. Ms. Anderson’s Kindergarten class has a goal of reaching 1,000 pairs of donated socks!  Can you help us reach this goal?

Please send NEW pairs or packages of socks to school with your student and have them place the socks into one of the collection boxes that will be labeled for SOCKTOBER!  Also, if you have any NEW blankets that you would like to donate, we will gladly accept those in our donation boxes as well.  Please make sure all socks and blankets are new, never used, worn or washed, and still in their new packaging.  Thank you so much!

Fun Run

Pleasant Valley PTA held the First Annual Pleasant Valley Fun Run on Friday, September 29th.  Although it was a raining Friday - students, parents and PVP staff made the best of it and had a great time!!

The funds collected go to the PV PTA to help support students, teachers, and programs at our school.

The class that raised the most money will receive a pizza party! There will be additional prizes for one student per grade who raises the most money and one student per grade who runs the most laps!

Great job Beavers!
